As Managing Director of The LYNCH Group, Doug Lynch advises, mentors and coaches entrepreneurs, startups and new and growing organizations so they can improve and succeed in a difficult economy.

Doug has been involved with Organizational Effectiveness initiatives for over 25 years, including the areas of Strategic Planning, Leadership Development, Executive Coaching and most recently the Lean Startup process. His work has taken him on global assignments throughout North America, Europe, SE Asia and New Zealand.

Recently, Doug was the Founding Executive Director of GEM (Goleta Entrepreneurial Magnet), a business incubator supporting new and emerging science and technology entrepreneurs. As an Accredited Investor, Doug has several seed investments and is on the Advisory Board for several startups.

For the past several years Doug have also been teaching Steve Blank’s Lean Launchpad process at the University of California Santa Barbara and he is an Adjunct Faculty member in Antioch University’s MBA program.

Doug has a BSc in Ocean Engineering from the University of Hawaii, an MBA from Pepperdine University, as well as coursework towards a PhD in Organizational Development from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland.

With a lifelong interest in rugby, as a player, referee and executive, the highpoint of Doug’s rugby career was playing in the Hong Kong Sevens for two years. Doug also considers himself a Double Black Diamond skier and recent sporting interests includes triathlons and Ironman races.
